The elder's center has made such a great impression on me and I can't even begin to express how gratifying the experience has been so far. Everyday I find that I'm learning so many new things and I walk away feeling like I made at least one person's day. There are moments that are sad, but I find that more than anything I'm laughing with the people and having a really good time. It really is the little things that make you feel significant in someone else's life.I got a chance to celebrate Old People's day at the elder's center and it was so much fun. Not only was there dancing and singing, but a mariachi band came to play and it was so nice to see the people so happy and excited to dance and sing to the music. The day was filled with various games and activities that catered to the elders and they really loved it. I was glad to see them all having so much fun because some of them lead very hard lives and I think it is important that they really be appreciated once in a while.
