ACCESSING THE SITE
- Your use of the Site is subject to the Privacy Policy included on the Site, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains what personal information Love Volunteers may collect, how Love Volunteers may use and share that information, how long information may be retained, what privacy rights may apply, and how you may submit a privacy request.
- By using this Love Volunteers website or Love Volunteers services, resources, or related materials, you agree that: (i) you have read these Terms in full; (ii) you understand them; (iii) you agree to be bound by them; (iv) you are at least 18 years old or if you are under 18 years old, your legal guardian has given you permission to use the Site and agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. If you do not agree, you are not authorized to use the Site or Services.
- Love Volunteers grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-commercial right to access and use the Site, Services, and related materials only as permitted by these Terms.
- Love Volunteers may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, Services, content, features, or materials at any time, with or without notice. Continued use after any change means you accept the updated Terms and Services as modified.
USING THE SITE
- If you create an account or login credentials, you are responsible for maintaining their confidentiality and for all activity under your account. You must notify Love Volunteers immediately of any unauthorized use.
- You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, post, transmit, sell, sublicense, modify, frame, scrape, reverse engineer, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from the Site, Services, or related materials without Love Volunteers’ prior written consent.
- You may not use automated tools to access, monitor, copy, or extract information from the Site, or use the Site in any way that violates the law, harms others, impersonates another person, collects personal information, discloses confidential information, or interferes with Love Volunteers’ systems, security, policies, or operations.
- You may not submit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
- Information on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only. Love Volunteers does not guarantee that any information, materials, programs, or services will be accurate, complete, current, secure, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your specific needs.
- You use the Site, Services, and related materials at your own risk, and you are responsible for determining whether they meet your requirements.
- Love Volunteers is not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, policies, or practices linked from the Site.
- Love Volunteers may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Site or Services at any time if Love Volunteers believes you violated these Terms, created risk for Love Volunteers or others, or used the Site in an unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate manner.
THIRD-PARTY TOOLS, LINKS, AND PLATFORMS
- The Site may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, payment processors, portals, social media platforms, maps, videos, analytics tools, security tools, advertising tools, or other third-party services.
- Love Volunteers may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, security tools, embedded content, and similar technologies as described in the Privacy Policy and any cookie notice or preference tool made available on the Site.
- Love Volunteers does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, services, tools, content, terms, privacy policies, security practices, availability, or actions. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and may be governed by the third party’s own terms and privacy practices.
- Love Volunteers is not responsible for any loss, damage, data issue, unauthorized access, payment issue, service interruption, or dispute arising from a third-party website, platform, processor, or service outside Love Volunteers’ reasonable control.
SITE SECURITY
- Love Volunteers may monitor, log, restrict, suspend, or block access to the Site, accounts, forms, portals, or systems to protect Love Volunteers, users, participants, host organizations, partners, data, systems, and program integrity.
- You may not attempt to bypass security measures, access accounts or data without authorization, test system vulnerabilities without written permission, interfere with Site operations, overload systems, use bots or scraping tools, or use the Site for fraud, spam, harassment, unlawful activity, or unauthorized collection of information.
- Love Volunteers may report suspected unlawful activity, security incidents, fraud, misuse, or threats to law enforcement, regulators, service providers, host organizations, or other appropriate parties where Love Volunteers believes it is necessary or appropriate.
LOVE VOLUNTEERS COMMUNICATIONS
- By using the Site, emailing Love Volunteers, or providing information to Love Volunteers, you consent to receive electronic communications from Love Volunteers including emails and notices posted on the Site.
- You agree that all information you provide will be true, accurate, complete, and current.
- You may request in writing that Love Volunteers stop sending non-essential updates and emails.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree not to bring any claim against Love Volunteers based solely on receiving Love Volunteers communications.
- You may not solicit Love Volunteers or contact Love Volunteers regarding any investment opportunity.
USER SUBMISSIONS
- If you submit, upload, tag, share, or otherwise provide photographs, videos, audio recordings, testimonials, blogs, quotes, written materials, social media content, or other media relating to your program experience, you grant Love Volunteers a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, edit, crop, adapt, share, and create promotional materials from that content in presentations, marketing, advertising, websites, social media, printed materials, and other related media.
- This license includes the right to sublicense or share User Submissions with Love Volunteers’ affiliates, local partners, contractors, service providers, marketing vendors, and social media platforms for the purposes described above. This license continues until you revoke it in writing, except that revocation will not affect prior use or materials already created, published, printed, distributed, scheduled, or incorporated into campaigns.
- You retain ownership of your User Submissions, but you confirm that you own or have obtained all rights, permissions, consents, and releases necessary for Love Volunteers to use them. This includes permission for any third-party content, music, images, video, names, voices, likenesses, testimonials, or other materials included in your submission.
- You may not submit content that infringes another person’s rights, violates any law, includes confidential or private information, or depicts children, vulnerable persons, staff, host families, or community members without proper consent and any required approval.
- Love Volunteers is not required to use, return, store, credit, or compensate you for any User Submission. You may revoke this permission by notifying Love Volunteers in writing, but revocation will only apply to future use and will not affect any use, publication, distribution, campaign, printed material, or other action taken before Love Volunteers receives your written notice.
- Love Volunteers may edit, decline, remove, refuse to publish, or stop using any User Submission if Love Volunteers believes it may be inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, infringing, outdated, inappropriate, unsafe, or inconsistent with Love Volunteers’ programs, policies, or legal obligations.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- All Site content, materials, designs, software, logos, trademarks, service marks, graphics, information, and related intellectual property are owned by Love Volunteers, licensed to Love Volunteers, or owned by the applicable rights holder. No ownership or intellectual property rights are transferred to you.
- You may not use any trademarks, logos, or service marks without prior written consent.
- Love Volunteers may remove materials alleged to infringe intellectual property rights and may terminate access, where appropriate, for users who repeatedly infringe copyrights or other intellectual property rights.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COMPLAINTS
- If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may notify Love Volunteers in writing at: privacy@ccusa.com.
- Your notice should include enough information for Love Volunteers to identify the material, locate it on the Site, contact you, and understand the basis for your claim.
- Love Volunteers may remove, disable, restrict, or refuse to use content that Love Volunteers believes may infringe another party’s rights or violate these Terms. Love Volunteers may also terminate or restrict access for repeat infringers where appropriate.
SITE FEEDBACK
- If you provide comments, ideas, suggestions, improvements, or other feedback about the Site, Services, or related materials, Love Volunteers may use that feedback without restriction or compensation. Feedback will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary.
WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
- The Site, Services, User Submissions, and all related materials are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Love Volunteers and its affiliates disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, non-interference, accuracy, and reliability.
- Information on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only. Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement with Love Volunteers, Site content is not legal, immigration, visa, tax, medical, insurance, travel, employment, or professional advice.
- Love Volunteers may update, correct, remove, or change Site content at any time, but Love Volunteers is not responsible for outdated information, typographical errors, third-party changes, government changes, or your reliance on general Site information.
- Love Volunteers is not responsible for any damage to your computer system, loss of data, or other harm resulting from your use of the Site, reliance on information, or uploading or downloading materials. You should keep backup copies of any User Submissions you provide.
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Love Volunteers and its affiliates, employees, agents, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your use of the Site, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or User Submissions.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Love Volunteers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill. Love Volunteers’ total liability for any claim arising from the Site or Services will not exceed the amount paid by you to Love Volunteers for the applicable service, or, if no amount was paid, $100.
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under or relating to this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and the parties hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
CHANGES TO TERMS
- Love Volunteers may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will apply when posted unless a later effective date is stated.
- If required by law, Love Volunteers will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
