General Impression

Overall Rating:    10 / 10

It was really an accidental opportunity that suddenly gave me the idea of volunteering in Sri Lanka. After coming here, I found that my decision was correct. I was very fortunate to know the program director's family in Sri Lanka. We are like a family. Before I came, I had seen the feelings of previous volunteers. I heard that people there very friendly. In fact, it is. I had the privilege of attending the birthday party of Shiwanthi's daughter. I was fortunate to meet Marie from Germany. When I arrived in Badulla, I really felt the meaning of my volunteer journey. I met the lovely children here, and I met a group of very kind grandmothers. We played together and time inadvertently slipped away. This is a trip that will make me unforgettable and will benefit me for the rest of my life. Finally, thank Harsha and Shiwanthi for taking care of me, thanking all the friends and strangers I met in Sri Lanka. I love all of you and wish you all the best.

Country

The people in Sri Lanka are very friendly. Every time I walk on the road, everyone will say hello to me. Whenever I need help, everyone will do my best to help me. I love everyone here, love the mountains and the sea here, and love the food of Sri Lanka.

Project & Staff

I have experienced three projects in Sri Lanka. Children are so cute, we became very good friends, and I also made a lot of handmade gift with the elders, it’s such a great and happy experience for me.

Tips

Due to the religious beliefs in Sri Lanka, please have some trousers ready before you come. The people here are very friendly. When you are in trouble, please be sure to ask the person in charge for help in time and they will be happy to help you. I wish you a wonderful volunteer trip in Sri Lanka.
