Beautiful country and the people were friendly and enjoyed hosting foreigners. As a single female I felt safe the whole time I was there.
Project & Staff
The school was well run and the use of volunteers for English conversation was very well received by the students. The teachers were very welcoming and included the volunteers seamlessly into their daily classes. I always felt I was needed and making a difference when I was in each classroom.
Tips
Take a chance on this little country, it will warm your soul to volunteer in Luang Prabang!
Don't bring a lot of cash, the exchanges only take perfect bills so most of mine were rejected I just ended up taking money out at the ATMs.
