“the staff were fabulous”

General Impression

Overall Rating:    8 / 10

Nepal was less developed than I anticipated, and the children at the school we helped to renovate were less bratty and much more grateful and kind than children in American schools on average. The host family was generous and it was fun becoming acquainted with them. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to be of service to Nepal.

Country

Nepal was more densely populated and less developed than expected. The landscape here is beautiful, as are the people and the people's attitudes. The cityscape is almost too much to take in - so much is happening all at once.

Project & Staff

The project was emptionally satisfying and the staff were fabulous.

Tips

Never flush toilet paper down the commode. Bring shower shoes (flip flops), as bathrooms in Nepal are quite different than those in the states.
