“Teaching in Monasteries”

General Impression

Overall Rating:    9 / 10

All the children were so friendly, welcoming, and loving. The children were all very interested in learning English as well as teaching Nepali. Highly recommend going on the field trips with the monastery and eating daily with the children/teachers.

Country

Everyone was very friendly, curious, and eager to help, Visit Pokhara if you have some time and prepare to be on a VERY bumpy ride by bus if/when doing so.

Project & Staff

The volunteer liason Ashok Chauldhary was so incredibly nice and accommodating. Any and all questions were met with a smile and he was always very proud to share information about Nepal highly recommend 10/10

Tips

Be very mindful of others experiences, as well as lifestyle such as dietary restrictions, many individuals do not eat meat. When eating with the children they might find it funny if you use utensils instead of your hands to eat and WILL make fun of you. Would love to come back to visit in the future.
