Volunteer Construction Programs
Like the outdoors and want to have a tangible and lasting impact on the long-term development goals of communities abroad? Love Volunteer’s range of affordable Construction and Outdoor Work volunteer abroad projects allow international volunteers to work alongside locals to support the renovation of existing community buildings, the improvement of local infrastructure, and building new homes and structures.
Our Construction and Outdoor Work volunteer projects often support the developmental goals of the orphanages, community centres, schools and recreational facilities supported through our other projects, so while the Construction and Renovation work varies depending on the program/location choice, the time of year and the needs of the community, this is a wonderful opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of so many people.
While these ‘hands-on’ projects are ideally suited to those volunteers with some knowledge and experience in construction or any of the building trades, the projects are open to all and do not require participants to have specific education, qualifications or experience, as you will be shown everything you need to know by the local project leader. Importantly though, all applicants must first and foremost have a genuine willingness to help, be fit and active, show drive and initiative, and bring a positive 'can-do' attitude.
